More on leisure… creating for the sake of it

Crazy about a new hobby? So often, a new interest becomes a passion, from which a wonderful career can launch.  You know, those jobs that are not really jobs?

But what about creating for the sake of creating? I wonder if we may, as a community, all benefit from providing / sharing programs that teach how to explore recreational pursuits and the benefits of creating for the sake of nurturing our mind and well-being.

What’s not to love about Leon?  This instructional got me off the couch and into the garden with zero expense, (thankfully, I’d accumulated the junk already).  A new day, a new skill and an accomplishment to nourish, in more ways than one!

This upcycled wicking bed was done in twenty minutes, a fortnight ago. I’m still beaming. Two varieties of carrots are in. Even better, a friend assures me the original paint job provides American Picker-style garden cred. This is life-long learning at its best. Thanks Leon!
